The El Segundo Refinery’s culture is rooted strongly in a mission to create a more inclusive work environment that enables everyone to contribute their full potential. With diversity comes a mixture of people who have a variety of backgrounds, experiences, styles, cultures, skills and competencies. We celebrate all individuals for being diverse because we each bring unique heritage and experience to our interactions. When we understand our differences and appreciate our similarities, we gain a deeper connection to each other.
El Segundo hosts 11 local chapters of employee networks to further drive diversity and inclusion among our workforce. Our leadership team engages in quarterly dialogues with employees throughout the organization to gain greater insight to how we can optimize diversity by noticing and seeking out the missing perspectives, cultures and backgrounds that will further contribute to the way we operate and do business.
